About Mr. Page
Hello, my name is Mr. Page and this is my fourth year teaching in the Bethalto School District. I am very excited to be at Bethalto East and Parkside again this year where I will get to see many of my students from the past two years, as well as introduce a new group to PE. Typically elementary school students have a lot of energy and are excited about being active, and that is how I like to teach. Along with teaching, I also serve as head boy's track and field coach and assistant wrestling coach at Trimpe Middle School. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife at home in Collinsville as well as reading and playing tabletop games. During this school year, if you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact me at dpage@bethalto.org.
A message from Mr. Page
It is February everybody, and that can only mean one thing for PE, Jump Rope for Heart! The whole month of February is going to be devoted to jumping rope in PE, and using this activity as a way to maintain a strong and healthy heart. While the activities they learn this month are going to go a long way in keeping their heart strong, jumping rope is not the only activity that can accomplish this. In fact, any activity or game that gets your children moving, especially during these cold months, will be of great benefit to them. I encourage you to continue to be active and play games with your children in order to get them the 60 minutes of play everyday that they need. Thank you very much and remember to stay active!
What's next in Pe?
For the entire month of February, the K-2 PE students will be doing jump rope activities. These activities will include learning basic jump rope skills for the kindergarteners, and beginning to introduce more advanced skills and jump rope games for the 1st and 2nd grade students.
